Job summary

Outdoor Recreation Hospitality is hiring for the 2027 season across several campgrounds within the Arapahoe-Roosevelt National Forest in the Clear Creek District, near Denver. The Host position aims to provide a high-quality recreational experience for visitors and to perform operational tasks within the assigned campground or area.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills; enjoys working in an environment of extensive public contact.
• Basic manual labor abilities, including cleaning and sanitizing facilities with a variety of cleaning agents.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic recordkeeping experience, including money handling.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and learn quickly; follow instructions accurately.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to move safely over rough and uneven terrain.
• Ability to work in extreme weather.
• Able to tow own RV (where applicable) in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by educating visitors on the rules.
• Performs basic administrative tasks, including recordkeeping and fee collection.
• Maintains facilities and grounds: cleaning, sanitizing, stocking restrooms, trash disposal.
• Rakes and grooms sites and public areas; maintains litter-free facilities.
• Maintains good working relationships with staff and visitors.
• Registers campers, collects fees, and sells retail items.
• Processes revenues and fee data using approved forms.
• Familiar with local points of interest and regulations.
• Reports problems and hazardous conditions when discovered.
