Environment America is hiring Campaign Associates across the country to work on campaigns protecting oceans, public lands, wildlife, and clean energy. The role involves educating the public, building coalitions, and engaging communities through events, media, and lobbying.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Training and oversight are provided, with opportunities to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Passion for the environment and using grassroots organizing to win campaigns.
• Top-notch writing and public speaking skills.
• An eagerness to learn.
• Organizing experience, including building campus or community groups.

Responsibilities

• Educate and mobilize public support.
• Build powerful coalitions with diverse groups.
• Earn traditional media and social media attention.
• Organize events and work with volunteers.
• Lobby elected officials to support our goals.
• Research and write reports to influence public debate.
• Recruit volunteers, interns and staff.
• Run a grassroots campaign office each summer.
• Participate in organizational projects and trainings.
