Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a proactive program leader to manage summer day camp and sports operations, developing and delivering compelling plans that connect members with the YMCA's mission.

You will hire, train and supervise staff and volunteers, help control budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with community organizations to promote healthy living and youth development.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of work experience.
• Experience directing programs through supervision of volunteers and staff.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; YMCA Team Leader certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and manages operating plans and delivery to promote program.
• Executes strategies to connect members with the YMCA and with each other.
• Assists in developing and controlling department budgets as requested by management.
• Hires, trains, onboards and supervises staff and volunteers in assigned areas.
• Ensures compliance with state and local regulations and safety procedures.
• Coordinates special events and maintains community partnerships.
