Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine in Coatesville seeks a dynamic leader to oversee the implementation, development, and delivery of YMCA programs and membership initiatives. You will recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, design curricula, and help manage budgets to drive growth and impact.

You’ll collaborate across branches to ensure compliance with regulations, lead special events and support the annual campaign.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years of work experience.
• Experience directing programs through supervision of volunteers and staff.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• YMCA Team Leader certification preferred.
• Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and manages operating plans and delivery to promote program and/or membership growth.
• Executes strategies to ensure that members and/or program participants connect with one another and with the YMCA.
• Assists in developing and controlling department budgets related to the position as requested by management.
• Hires, trains, onboard and supervises part-time and full-time hourly staff and volunteers in assigned areas.
• Facilitates communication and provides leadership to staff.
• Ensures compliance with state and local regulations.
• Ensures high-quality programs through innovative development, evaluations and training of staff.
• Coordinates special events and activities.
• Interfaces with and resolves member concerns to foster engagement.
• Provides data, rosters, schedules, and reports for assigned programs.
