Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a full-time program leader at the Kennett Area YMCA in Kennett Square, PA. The role focuses on developing and delivering youth and community programs, driving membership growth, and ensuring high-quality experiences for participants and families.

You will hire and supervise staff, manage budgets, and coordinate events while upholding Y policies and safety standards. Strong English communication is required and 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of work experience.
• Experience directing programs through supervision of volunteers and staff.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and manages operating plans to promote program and membership growth.
• Executes strategies to connect members with one another and with the YMCA.
• Hires, trains, onboards and supervises hourly staff and volunteers.
• Ensures compliance with state and local regulations.
• Coordinates special events and activities.
• Provides data, rosters, schedules, and reports for assigned programs.
