Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of advanced experience in specialty field.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
• Experience teaching a minimum of 4 years in the specialized area.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the specialized area.
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts class sessions as scheduled in a safe, enthusiastic, thorough, and professional manner.
• Leads program with enthusiasm and positive motivation.
• Promotes and exhibits a healthy attitude, lifestyle, and appearance.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability in the specialty field.
• Organizes and maintains program records (attendance, rosters, etc.).
• Manages all equipment and maintains a clean, risk-free environment.
• Communicates effectively with participants and parents; assists with questions before classes.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs and distributes information as needed.
• Create staff schedule and communicate with staff.
• Ensure compliance with YGBW policies and SOPs.
