Job summary

Transformation Ministries Camping is seeking a Recreation Lead to assist in overseeing the preparation, performance, and maintenance of recreation venues and staff at our Payson, AZ camp.

You will inspect, prepare, clean, repair, and recordkeeping venues; coordinate staff; train and supervise; step in for the Recreation Manager in weather-related decisions; help reset camp between groups.

Qualifications

• Two years of Christian camping or other ministry experience.
• Thorough working knowledge of TM Camping facilities, procedures, events, calendars, and rate schedules.
• Minimum of high-school diploma.
• Administrative and computer skills including: Outlook, Word, Excel, CampDoc, and Salesforce.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, prepare, clean, repair, maintain and recordkeeping at each venue.
• Assist in coordinating Recreation staff to perform tasks and run venues.
• Assist with training and overseeing Recreation staff to ensure smooth performance of activities and venues.
• Step in for Recreation Manager to make weather-related decisions when needed.
• Assist with cleaning and resetting of camp between groups.
• Administers and teaches safety techniques, gives encouragement and shares spiritual applications to participants.
• Orient and equip participants with necessary gear and instructions.
• Maintain organization and upkeep of all Recreation storage areas.
• Assist in upkeep of free activities such as Gym, board games, and outside activities.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
