Job summary

The Mountain in Highlands, North Carolina, seeks a Camp Nurse / Health Center Coordinator for the summer season, May 29 – July 25, 2026. You will assess campers’ health, dispense medications, and provide first aid while implementing health and safety protocols, including COVID-19 guidelines. Emergency readiness is essential.

Applicants should be a registered nurse or EMT, be at least 21, and hold a valid driver’s license. On-site housing and meals are included.

The Health Center Coordinator will also be responsible for the implementation of health and safety protocols, including COVID-19- specific guidelines. The Health Center Coordinator maintains a visible presence in camp, being available in the case of an emergency and determining the need for professional healthcare. They will also perform other work-related duties and special projects as assigned. Applicants should be a registered nurse or EMT, at least 21 years of age, and have a valid driver’s license.
