Job summary

Camp JCC Raleigh, a program of The Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh, seeks a Director to lead all Camp JCC programs, ensuring safe, engaging, and inclusive experiences for children and families. The role drives program development, staff oversight, and strategic growth in Wake County and surrounding areas.

The Director will manage budgets, foster partnerships, and promote Jewish values through camp life, with flexibility for evenings/weekends and extended summer schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years leadership experience in camp/youth programming.
• Experience supervising staff, managing programs, and budgets.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended summer schedules.
• Commitment to inclusive environments and exceptional participant experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for Camp JCC programs and services, including summer camp and special events.
• Ensure all programs deliver a safe, engaging, high-quality experience aligned with mission.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive camp culture for campers, families, staff, and community.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate camp programming for innovation and growth.
• Establish operational goals, policies, and procedures to support program delivery.
• Maintain all required records, policies, and procedures.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate staff.
• Foster staff development, mentorship, and retention.
• Manage enrollment, customer service, and family engagement.
• Oversee budget planning and fiscal management; monitor revenues/expenses.
• Collaborate on forecasting, strategic growth, and long-term planning.
