Job summary

Camp Graves, Inc. is seeking an Outreach & Development Systems VISTA based in Louisville, KY. The role strengthens fundraising and community outreach by developing a grant research framework and a donor tracking system to support 8–10 applications annually.

You will design development calendars, document systems, and train staff to sustain them beyond the service year, while building relationships with rural Western Kentucky communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in nonprofit development and volunteer management.
• Ability to coordinate across partners and stakeholders.
• Familiar with grant research, writing, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Audit and update the 18-county resource database to improve referrals for low-income veterans and rural families.
• Develop MOUs with 40+ partners and service providers.
• Design and pilot a housing permanency tracking system.
• Build an employer network linking veterans to jobs and training.
• Use funder databases to build a grant research framework supporting 8–10 applications annually.
• Create a master development calendar and digital donor tracking system.
• Develop a repeatable coordination model, partner onboarding process, and sponsorship kit for Operation Wellness for Veterans.
• Create reusable organizational narratives and community awareness materials.
• Write an operations manual and SOPs, and train staff to sustain all systems.

Who We Are

Camp Graves, Inc. is a nonprofit supporting low-income veterans and rural families across 18 Western Kentucky counties. We build lasting community support systems that help families move from poverty toward long-term economic stability.

Where We Are Located

This position is based off-site in Louisville, KY, with access to philanthropic networks, higher education institutions, and professional associations. Your work will directly benefit communities in rural Western Kentucky.

What You Will Do

As the Outreach & Development Systems VISTA, you will strengthen Camp Graves' fundraising and community outreach systems. You will develop a grant research framework supporting 8-10 applications annually, create a development calendar and donor tracking database, design a repeatable coordination model for the annual Operation Wellness for Veterans event, and develop reusable marketing materials. You will also document these systems and train staff to sustain them beyond your service year.
