Summary
We are currently seeking adult & junior counselors (16+) with experience working with or a desire to work with elementary students in a nature-based, enrichment-focused day camp. Camp Cowabunga is housed at Moharimet Elementary (11 Lee Road) in Madbury. This role is ideal for education, psychology, or human development majors, or high school students seeking hands-on experience in education. Hours of operation are 8-4:30.

Duties
As a camp counselor, you will supervise elementary students aged 5-10 during daily camp activities. Responsibilities include:

• Supervising campers on the playground and during station activities
• Ensuring safety and accountability during field trips, in partnership with another counselor
• Assisting with curriculum activities such as art, STEM, nature exploration, and gross motor activities, and providing necessary supplies
• Cleaning tables and floors after activities
• Applying sunscreen and preparing campers for outdoor activities
• Building connections with students and gaining practical experience in education

Requirements
Must be 16 years or older.
CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.

Nice to Haves
Experience with school-aged children.
9 credits in ECE or elementary education.
