Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a bus driver to safely transport campers and staff to Day camp locations and events. You will ensure safety, conduct attendance, and maintain vehicle safety standards while following all YMCA policies and procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year experience with children, and the ability to pass background checks and CPR within 30 days. A valid MVR and reliable transportation are also required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children in a structured setting.
• Must pass a criminal background and drug screening; motor vehicle record check; and pass CPR within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Teach basic courtesy and safe driving to campers.
• Take attendance and provide safety information at trip start.
• Inspect the vehicle for safety compliance.
• Follow traffic regulations to ensure passenger safety.
• Carry out daily program tasks related to the position's scope and responsibility.
• Maintain required certifications (CPR) and YMCA procedures.
• Report incident/accident paperwork as needed.
