Job summary

Brooks Automation in Fremont, CA is seeking a Camera Vision Software Engineer to develop and deploy computer vision algorithms for semiconductor automation. You will work on CNNs, OpenCV, and ML models, optimize inference for embedded hardware, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate vision solutions into production systems.

You should have a MS/BS in CS, 4+ years software experience, strong C#/C++, and experience with OpenCV, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Docker/Kubernetes, and Git.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in computer science or equivalent
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience in computer vision and image processing
• Proficiency in C# and/or C++
• Familiarity with UML for OO analysis/design
• Experience with multi-threading and network communication
• Experience with Linux and Git-based workflows
• Experience with OpenCV and ML frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
• Experience with REST APIs and robotics/motion control software

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement computer vision algorithms for defect detection, object tracking, and segmentation
• Tune models for accuracy and speed and optimize inference for embedded hardware
• Collaborate with ME, EE, and SW engineers for system integration
• Write production-quality code and document technical processes
• Perform data annotation, dataset curation, and model evaluation using metrics like precision/recall
