Job summary

Harvey Nash Group is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Software Engineer for an on-site role in Fremont, CA. You will focus on embedded software control, robotics, and machine vision within a semiconductor equipment context.

Proficiency in C#/C++, Visual Studio, and OpenCV is essential. The role involves end-to-end software development, from requirements to testing, collaboration with ME/EE/SW teams, and customer-facing documentation.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in computer science or equivalent of 7 years of work experience, with experience in Computer Vision and Image Processing.
• Written and verbal communication skills to communicate design with rest of the team.
• 7 years of experience in professional software development.
• 7 years of experience in programming C# and/or C++.
• Experience with UML for OO analysis/design, including state machines.
• Experience in multi-threading and network communication.
• Experience in software for instrumentation or equipment control.
• Experience working with a small project team of 6–12 engineers.
• Experience in Linux customization.
• Experience using GIT and DevOps.
• Experience with OpenCV and machine vision.
• Experience with ML/DL frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch; knowledge of DL literature is a plus.
• Robotics and motion control software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements, write specs, and have them reviewed by the team.
• Write design specs and have them reviewed by the team.
• Implement designs with C# and C++, with code reviews.
• Design and run unit tests over emulation and hardware.
• Integrate software components and perform SQA testing.
• Collaborate with ME, EE, and SW engineers for system integration.
• Document release features and customer notes.
• Support customers during software integration and field escalations.
• Participate in team reviews of specs, code, documentation, and tests.
