Job summary

Shaw Industries seeks a CAM – Technical Support Representative to support both commercial and residential flooring cleaning and maintenance. This remote role is based in Colorado or Texas and requires 60–80% travel to job sites during the week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial and residential cleaning/maintenance experience.
• Extensive understanding of cleaning methods, equipment and chemicals.
• Strong public speaking, teaching and training skills.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% and work remotely from CO or TX.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert cleaning/maintenance guidance for commercial and residential flooring.
• Support sales reps with training, projects and product performance.
• Provide technical support and training to the professional cleaning industry and facility management clients.
• Offer cleaning/training for new-hire sales staff.
• Attend trade shows as a technical resource and provide demonstrations and guidance.
• Inspect field projects, analyze issues, and propose corrective actions with written reports.
• Use training opportunities in field situations to build knowledge for future issues.
• Discuss cleaning techniques clearly and defend them in writing and verbally when needed.
• Create technical literature and training videos related to Shaw products and warranty processes.
• Conduct cleaning studies, evaluate cleaners, and test new machines.
• Plan and run cleaning trials.
