Crystal Stairs, Inc. in Long Beach, CA is hiring a Program Assistant II to support CalWORKs services. You will check eligibility, assist walk-in clients, maintain child care documents, and ensure accurate provider and parent records while delivering quality customer service.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information. Some college is preferred; it's an onsite position with room for growth.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
• At least 2 years experience with parents receiving subsidized child care or social support services preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain new parent or provider files, including filing required documentation.
• Review and ensure proper documentation is provided.
• Prepares forms, notices and correspondence regarding missing documentation.
• Enter client information on internal database.
• Make follow-up phone calls to providers regarding terminated parents.
• Set up appointments for new enrollments/re-certifications and follow up on rescheduled appointments and no-shows.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail.
• Maintain private agency waiting list and verify information.
