Job summary

Aggregate Mineral Resource Group, LLC. seeks an Aggregate Technician to support production, sampling, testing, and quality control across active quarry facilities. You will conduct laboratory and field tests, document results, and ensure compliance with Caltrans specifications.

The ideal candidate has Caltrans certifications and experience with aggregate testing, laboratory procedures, and field sampling, working closely with operations and QA teams in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Current Caltrans aggregate testing certifications required.
• 2–5 years of experience in aggregate testing, quality control, construction materials, or quarry operations preferred.
• Strong understanding of aggregate production processes and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of Caltrans standards and quality assurance requirements.
• Experience performing laboratory and field testing for aggregates and construction materials.
• Familiarity with quarry operations and material processing environments preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform aggregate sampling, testing, and quality control procedures per Caltrans standards.
• Conduct laboratory and field testing of aggregate materials (gradation, moisture content, density, sand equivalent).
• Collect and document representative material samples from quarry, crushing, and stockpile operations.
• Maintain accurate testing records and QA documentation.
• Ensure materials meet Caltrans specifications and project requirements.
• Collaborate with operations to address material quality issues.
• Monitor production trends and communicate quality concerns to leadership.
• Maintain testing equipment and lab instruments in good condition.
• Assist with internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with inspectors, contractors, and vendors during material evaluations.
