Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of a Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor or designee, and with guidance from a Caltrans Leadworker, the Equipment Operator II is responsible for maintaining state highways, freeways, landscaped areas, and bridges. The role requires servicing, maintaining, and operating equipment with a Class A commercial driver's license with tank endorsement. When not operating equipment, duties may include tasks outlined for Caltrans Equipment Operator I, Highway Maintenance Worker, or Landscape Maintenance Worker.

Working Conditions

Position located at 40 Shoreline Hwy, Mill Valley, CA 94941, Marin County. Multiple positions may be filled. New hires will be placed at the minimum salary unless otherwise specified.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid California Drivers License (CDL), with relevant endorsements and answers provided in your application.
• Must pass a drug screening prior to hire.
• Valid unrestricted Class A CDL with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement required.
