Job summary

Acuren is recruiting RT & NDT Assistants for call-out work to support our Tulsa, Oklahoma operations. Local candidates preferred due to travel to job sites on short notice.

Assistants help calibrate and perform nondestructive tests, document results, and support radiographers in inspections according to written instructions.

This role requires a high school diploma, some college, relevant certifications; drivers license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Technical background desired.
• 40 RAD Radiation Safety Training.
• IRRPS card preferred or trainee status a plus.
• Valid TWIC card or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
• Record results of inspections.
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations.
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.

Call-out work requires employees to depart from the Tulsa shop and travel to job sites on short notice.

NDT/RT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

Requirements

• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
• 40 Hou Radiation Safety Training (40RAD)
• Industrial Radiographer State Card preferred/Trainee status a plus
• IRRPS card
• Valid TWIC card or be able to obtain
• Based in Tulsa, OK or surrounding area (within approximately a 30-mile radius)
