Job summary

Acuren is seeking an RT Assistant in Orange, TX to support nondestructive testing activities, calibrations, and evaluations per written instructions.

The role involves assisting Radiographers, setting up NDT equipment, recording results, and helping with various related tasks while complying with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college is preferred for this role.
• A technical background is desirable for NDT tasks.
• Must be able to pass a background check to meet Trustworthy & Reliable standards per regulations.
• Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Set up and use Nondestructive Test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in calibrating NDT equipment.
• Help conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Record results of inspections.
• Assist in performing NDT procedures and move equipment as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Position Summary

RT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
