Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, take complete and accurate messages, register and update patient information, cancel and reschedule appointments, check patient insurance eligibility and confirm upcoming appointments.
Requirements
The position is full time, part time when specified by the Health Center Director. Evenings may be required. May be required to work in other Family Health Service locations.
Full access to client's medical and or computer data including financial / statistical material. Maintains client confidentiality at all levels of interaction in accordance with State and Federal Laws and CCAP policies and procedures.
General office environment: Manual dexterity: operate computer, answer multiple incoming telephone lines, take accurate written / typed messages, and verify all insurance coverage. Light physical activity: walking, standing, sitting, bending and stretching and lifting (up to 20 lbs.). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Significant exposure to bloodborne pathogens, respiratory diseases, other infectious diseases and other biohazards material requiring universal precautions for medical practitioners.
