Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Three years of California workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent.
• California jurisdictional knowledge preferred; SIP required or must be obtained within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex California workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due.
• Manage claims through investigation, benefit determination, negotiation, and resolution.
• Handle high-exposure and litigated claims with appropriate reserves and settlements.
• Prepare state filings within statutory limits.
• Manage the litigation process and ensure timely and cost-effective resolution.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions in a timely manner.
