Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking a Senior Director, Network Strategy in California to lead enterprise network strategies and contracting with hospitals, health systems, and large physician groups. You will ensure network adequacy, expand market access, and align with value-based care goals.

You will mentor a team of network professionals, collaborate across Finance, Analytics, and Operations, and drive strategic partnerships to support growth and high-quality care for seniors in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in provider network strategy and managed care contracting.
• Experience leading negotiations with hospitals, health systems, and large provider organizations.
• Knowledge of network adequacy standards, provider operations, reimbursement methodologies, and value-based care models.
• Experience building provider networks across multiple markets or regions, with a focus on California.
• Experience within Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, PACE, or value-based care environments.
• Two years of supervisory experience with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
• Strong leadership experience in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead enterprise network strategies across existing and emerging markets, aligning with growth plans and local dynamics.
• Assess and monitor network adequacy to ensure timely access to high-quality providers and services; identify gaps and address needs.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory requirements, and market conditions impacting network development.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing network strategy and contracting team; provide strategic guidance and operational support.
• Foster collaboration across Finance, Analytics, Operations, clinical leadership, Compliance, and growth teams.
• Lead outreach and complex negotiations with hospitals and large provider partners.
• Explore innovative contracting approaches tied to outcomes like access, care coordination, and performance.
