The Litigation Attorney role in California handles defended litigation involving residential real estate and mortgages, requiring excellence in written and oral advocacy.

The attorney will manage all aspects of foreclosure-related litigation, draft pleadings, handle discovery, and appear at hearings and mediations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the California State Bar, in good standing.
• Ability to consistently bill 1920 hours per year.
• Knowledge of foreclosure process and requirements preferred, but not required.
• Some experience in real estate or mortgage servicing preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation stemming from mortgage servicing and/or foreclosure matters.
• Manage pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property.
• Prepare analysis of cases and advise client regarding strategies.
• Draft court pleadings and motions.
• Discovery, including taking & defending depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conference and make court appearances.
• All other duties as assigned.
