Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, settlements; conducting research; taking and defending depositions; attending hearings and mediations; negotiating settlements; and keeping clients updated throughout litigation.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience required.
• 2+ years of California Lemon Law litigation experience preferred.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and case management skills.
• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy abilities.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while meeting deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of California Lemon Law matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy
• Take and defend depositions as needed
• Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel
• Communicate directly with clients and provide case updates throughout the litigation process
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to efficiently manage cases
