Job summary

The Culinary Institute of America in Napa, CA is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations across California campuses. You will oversee day-to-day HR administration, serve as the main point of contact for employee relations, and partner with the Recruitment Team to staff openings and ensure accurate onboarding.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in HR or a related field and at least 2 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or significant work experience in lieu thereof.
• 2 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day administration and HR operations for the California Campus
• Serve as main point of contact for employee relations for non-union California Campus employees
• Administer performance management, discipline, investigations, and compliance with CIA standards
• Partner with Recruitment Team to staff open positions and manage onboarding
• Deliver training and communicate benefits, leave, and compliance information
• Manage data, audits, and employee programs; support engagement initiatives
• Assist with annual performance reviews and compensation processes
• Ensure training requirements and Title IX compliance are met
• Support with events and HR activities as required
• Work nights/weekends as needed
