Job summary

Tetra Tech seeks an Environmental Program Lead in California to drive strategy development, capture, and execution of environmental projects across commercial, government, and private clients. The role requires extensive experience in due diligence, site investigations, remediation, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead client development, proposals, and project delivery, mentor staff, and work with regulators to ensure permit compliance and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in environmental consulting with at least 5 years in program management, business development, and strategic planning in commercial/private markets.
• Experience in due diligence, site investigations, and remediation.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and client capture strategies.
• Proven ability to win work and manage multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop new commercial/industrial/government client accounts and bid opportunities.
• Lead development and delivery of technical consulting presentations to prospective clients.
• Prepare proposals, manage projects, and perform technical work balancing sales and billable efforts.
• Partner with regional leaders to pursue and win work.
• Complete projects on time and within budget under client expectations and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate to support team building, mentoring, and skill development of staff.
