Job summary

Lonza Group in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Calibration Specialist, Level 2 to ensure instrumentation compliance by safely executing monthly planned maintenance and on-demand calibration tasks in accordance with cGMP procedures.

The role requires grounding in electrical theory, troubleshooting, and instrumentation, plus proficiency with calibration software and Lonza processes, with a night shift schedule (6pm–6am) and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Years of calibration, metrology and instrumentation experience.
• Ability to use hand tools safely.
• Basic communication protocol knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly planned maintenance and on-demand calibration.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance at Portsmouth facility.
• Perform on-demand calibration, repairs, and troubleshooting for inspection readiness.
• Complete safety and cGMP training.
• Document tasks using SAP, DMS, QMS, Excel, and Word.

United States, Portsmouth (New Hampshire)

Location: Portsmouth, NH. The shift schedule is from 6pm-6am each week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday (8 hours overtime every other week and 20% pay differential for the Night Shift).

The Calibration Specialist, Level 2 ensures instrumentation compliance by safely executing monthly planned maintenance and on-demand calibration tasks in accordance with cGMP procedures. This role requires foundational knowledge of electrical theory, troubleshooting, and instrumentation, along with proficiency in calibration software and Lonza processes.

• Perform all work safely, adhering to GMP guidelines, SOP’s and work instructions.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance work as assigned by Calibration Manager, supervisor, or Lead.
• Perform on demand calibration, repairs, and troubleshooting throughout the Portsmouth facility to ensure an inspection readiness state at all times.
• Complete safety and cGMP training including classes, reads, and technical requirements.
• Complete tasks and documentation using SAP, DMS, QMS, Excel, word or other software tools as required per GMP guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
