Job summary

Lonza Tampa is seeking a Calibration Technician to perform scheduled calibrations and minor adjustments on production, utilities, and lab instruments in a regulated pharmaceutical setting.

You will document results to GMP/GDP standards, troubleshoot instrument issues, support deviation investigations, and maintain records for audits while collaborating with vendors and updating maintenance plans.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of calibration or maintenance experience in pharma/GMP settings.
  • Basic understanding of calibration principles and traceability.
  • Ability to use tools and test equipment and troubleshoot under supervision.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping accuracy.
  • Comfort with PPE and working in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled calibrations and minor instrument adjustments in production, utilities, and labs.
  • Document calibration results using certified standards and software per GMP/GDP.
  • Troubleshoot instrument issues and support deviation investigations.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with vendors and supervise contracted calibration services.
  • Assist in updating SOPs and maintenance plans to improve reliability.

What we are looking for
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade school or related internship preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in calibration or maintenance; pharma/GMP experience
  • Basic understanding of calibration principles and traceability requirements.
  • Ability to work with tools and test equipment and perform troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environments requiring PPE and occasional weekend or after-hours support.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and access elevated platforms or confined spaces as needed.
