Bauer Compressors in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Calibration Technician to perform and document standard relief valve testing, pressure gauge calibrations, and assembly of gas monitoring systems in the lab. You will maintain calibration certificates, manage instrument inventory, and support process improvements while following Bauer Quality Management System procedures.
Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least two years in a calibration lab, and proficiency with MS Office and ESD
The Calibration Technician performs and documents standard relief valve (RV) testing and pressure gauge calibrations and measurements in the laboratory for the high-pressure systems and components. They are additionally responsible for the assembly, calibration, and repair of gas monitoring systems. The Calibration Technician reports to the Director of Quality

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use of eyes for close vision, use hands, fingers, grasp, handle, reach, listen, talk and may need to talk on the telephone while taking notes. The noise levels in some manufacturing facilities frequently may exceed 80 dBA. The employee is required to wear all necessary personal protective equipment (safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, masks, etc.) while working or when walking through the facility.
Flexible working schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm EST; occasional overtime and weekend hours required at times.
