Job summary

WSP USA in Atlanta, GA seeks a Calibration Technician to support projects with soil and concrete testing in field and lab settings. You will classify soils, perform density tests, and analyze data to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specs.

The role requires a high school diploma, 0–2 years' related experience, travel within ~2 hours of the city, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid driver’s license and safety compliance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of related experience on variety of complex projects preferred.
• Certifications might include ICC soils, ACI concrete, ICC concrete reinforcing steel, and ICC masonry.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Reliability – must arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled times.
• Ability to prepare reports and documentation.
• Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in variable outside conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass drug test, physical, background check and satisfactory driving record.

Your Impact

• Perform lab classification and index property testing of soils


• Perform density testing of soils

• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.


• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.


• Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
