Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a software engineer to design and develop calibration and test software for infrared sensing systems. You will participate in all project phases, from requirements review to coding, unit testing, system integration and sustaining engineering.

The role requires 2+ years of experience with C/C++/C#, Visual Studio, and SQL Server, plus familiarity with embedded, multi-threaded software, hardware subsystems, and debugging tools. U.S.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with C, C#, and/or C++ programming.
  • Experience developing in Visual Studio is highly desired.
  • Experience programming in an SQL Server environment is highly desired.
  • Experience testing equipment in thermal chambers is highly desired.
  • Understanding of embedded, multi-threaded software design and implementation is very helpful (e.g., Embedded Linux, RTEMS, etc.).
  • Ability to understand both the hardware and software components of embedded systems under test.
  • Knowledge of hardware subsystems and common peripheral buses, including I2C, SPI, and USB.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to set up tool chains, build and debugging environments, and utilize debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and similar equipment is highly desirable.
  • Experience with infrared and/or visible imaging technologies, image acquisition, and image processing is desired but not required.
  • Experience testing high-volume products is helpful.
  • Ability to design software in a manner that reduces test time is highly desired.
  • Experience using AI tools for software development in a commercial product environment is required.

Job Description

Software design and development of calibration and test software for our infrared sensing systems. Also responsible for the development of production support software and systems. Participation in every phase of a project, including requirements review, software design and coding, unit testing, system integration, and sustaining engineering.

Education and Experience
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of some or all of the educational requirements
Work Authorization
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents
Salary Range:

$90,800.00-$121,100.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
