Job summary

Cal-Tek, a wholly owned ATS subsidiary, is seeking a Lab Manager based at our North Billerica, MA location. The role leads the calibration laboratory, plans and supervises technical staff, and ensures quality, safety, and compliance in calibration services.

You will coordinate customer work, manage calibration projects, maintain equipment readiness, mentor technicians, and develop processes to expand calibration services in the Greater Boston area.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to technicians and staff in day-to-day responsibilities.
• Manage all calibration services and related supplies with focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
• Coordinate with customers to schedule, support, and deliver calibration services.
• Assist sales teams with marketing and promotion of calibration services.
• Manage agreements for delivery of calibration services and procurement of supplies/equipment.
• Ensure resources are in place to meet customer requirements and service commitments.
• Evaluate department performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain hands-on technical capability to calibrate equipment in the department.
• Authorize staff performance management in line with company policy.
• Lead, train, and develop calibration staff to meet objectives.

Cal-Tek, a wholly owned subsidiary of ATS, is seeking a Lab Manager to be based at the N. Billerica, MA location. Cal-Tek offers In-Lab and On-site calibration and repairs services for all types of electrical, electronic, mechanical and laboratory equipment.

Position Summary

The Lab Manager is an operational leadership role within our Calibration segment, responsible for planning, coordination, evaluation and supervision of all technical and operational activities and team members at our North Billerica, MA location. This role will also be responsible for performing calibration services and must have the applicable technical acumen for doing so. This is an exciting opportunity to expand ATS’s calibration services footprint in the Boston area market.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to technicians and other employees in their day‑to‑day responsibilities
• Manage all calibration services and related supplies with a focus on quality, safety, and compliance
• Work directly with customers to coordinate, support, and deliver calibration services
• Assist inside and outside sales teams with the marketing and promotion of calibration services
• Manage agreements related to the delivery of calibration services and the purchase of supplies and equipment
• Ensure resources are in place to meet customer requirements and service commitments
• Evaluate department performance and identify growth and expansion opportunities
• Maintain hands‑on technical capability, including the ability to calibrate most equipment assigned to the department
• Authorized to manage staff performance in alignment with company policy
• Lead, train, and develop calibration staff to meet departmental and company objectives
