Job summary

Applied Technical Services (ATS) in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the calibration division's operations, safety, and strategic growth. You will direct laboratory and field activities, manage budgets, and drive performance against ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

Responsibilities include ensuring customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and operational excellence while developing leadership talent and coordinating with regional and corporate teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight (8) years of calibration industry experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of management or leadership experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of direct P&L responsibility.
• Experience leading technical operations within a calibration laboratory environment.
• Experience managing technicians, supervisors, and support personnel.
• Experience supporting ISO/IEC 17025 accredited operations.
• Experience with government, defense, aerospace, industrial, or maritime customers is preferred.
• Travel approximately 10% of the time is required.

Responsibilities

• Hold full responsibility for the location's profit and loss performance.
• Develop annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Monitor revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, utilization, productivity, and overhead.
• Identify opportunities for organic growth and market expansion.
• Lead employee engagement and succession planning.
• Direct daily laboratory and field calibration operations and safety.
• Partner with regional and corporate leadership to execute objectives.
