Job summary

Paris Baguette North America is seeking a Cake Team Member to decorate and assemble cakes and desserts with precision and care. You will follow brand standards, prepare fillings and icings, and help maintain an organized, appealing display to delight guests.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy bakery cafe environment. Competitively paid hourly with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years of cake decorating or culinary experience.
• Familiarity with piping bags, whipped cream, fruit decor, and finishing techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labeling practices.

Responsibilities

• Decorate and assemble cakes and desserts to recipe and brand standards.
• Follow established production methods and maintain organized workflow.
• Ensure cake displays are appealing and guest-ready in a timely manner.
• Prepare creams, fillings, icings, and toppings from scratch or components.

What You’ll Do

• Decorate and assemble cakes, and desserts to recipe and visual brand standards
• Follow established production methods and maintain organized workflow
• Ensure cake displays are organized and visually appealing to enhance the guest experience in a timely and continuous manner
• Prepare creams, fillings, icings, and toppings from scratch or components
• Manage daily production plans and workflows to meet café demand
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe decorating station
• Support special orders and guest customization needs when applicable
• Receive, stock, and organize ingredients and supplies efficiently
• Monitor equipment and ingredient inventory, notifying supervisors of any issues or shortages
• Manage time effectively to complete all assigned tasks
• Help train new Cake Team Members in decoration techniques and café procedures
• Monitor product quality and consistency - because details matter
• Complete waste logs, production sheets, or prep reports as required
• Adapt to other bakery tasks as needed (we’re all one team!)
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.

What You Bring

• At least 1+ years of cake decorating or culinary experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with piping bags, whipped cream, fruit décor, and finishing techniques
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labeling practices
• ServSafe Food Handler’s Certification (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and pride in presentation
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Team-first attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for hospitality
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
