Job summary

Hy-Vee bakery is seeking a Bakery Cake Designer to turn customer visions into edible creations, from birthday cakes to wedding cakes delivered and set up on site. You will use decorating skills and creativity to craft memorable desserts and lead part-time teammates to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, taking orders, checking daily orders and timelines, decorating items, developing daily bakery orders, and coordinating with the Bakery Manager on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; training provided.
• Strong decorating skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders, and assist throughout the store.
• Set up daily timelines and production schedules for cake orders.
• Decorate bakery items and stay current on designs and trends.
• Develop daily bakery orders for bakers, including cake sizes.
• Coordinate with co-workers to track daily production and prioritize tasks.
• Deliver wedding cakes on site and communicate needs to Bakery Manager.
