Hy-Vee is seeking a Bakery Cake Designer to bring customer visions to life, from birthdays to weddings, on-site. You will lead part-time staff, collaborate with the bakery team, and ensure smooth production with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; training provided.
• Willingness to learn and be part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and take bakery orders at the counter.
• Set up daily production timeline and check cake orders for details.
• Decorate bakery items and stay current on designs and trends.
• Develop daily bakery orders for bakers and determine cake sizes.
• Track daily production and coordinate with coworkers to complete tasks.
• Check product dates and restock as needed; manage decorating supplies.
• Deliver wedding cakes on site and set up at the event.
• Communicate displays, ads, and special needs to Bakery Manager.
