Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a bakery team member to greet guests, prepare and decorate baked goods, and maintain freshness and cleanliness in the bakery area.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs, with 18+ years old eligibility. You will support cashier and bakery tasks, rotate stock, and assist in receiving and storage as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (icing, decorating, pricing, packaging and labeling).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• When requested, perform bakery clerk functions.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Properly clean work area, couplers and decorating bags.
• Maintain organization of the freezer and rotate products by variety.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Rotate icings and read dates on icings; manage buckets.
• Use cake production sheet as reference material.
• Write on cakes as needed.
• Mix colors according to color chart for consistent results.
• Master the use of the airbrush for decorations.
• Operate according to cake production sheets.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform Front Porch duties to ensure guest arrival standard is met.
• Announce specials and sale information on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
