Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in Concord, NC is seeking a friendly bakery clerk to greet guests, prepare products for sale, and maintain freshness and sanitation across the bakery department.

You will read labels, rotate icings, mix colors per charts, and assist in receiving and storing products while helping to achieve sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite greetings and friendly interactions with guests.
• Prepare products for sale (icing, decorating, labeling).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• When requested perform bakery clerk functions.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Properly cleans work area, couplers and decorating bags.
• Maintain the organization of the freezer, including proper rotation of product.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Rotate icings and read dates; use correct rotation.
• Use cake production manual as reference material.
• Write on cakes.
• Properly mix colors according to color chart.
• Master the use of the airbrush.
• Use cake production sheet.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs Front Porch duties to ensure greeting standard.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.

12. Use cake manual as reference material.

13. Write on cakes.

17. Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section of the bakery.

18. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
