Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Cake Decorator to decorate cakes, follow decorating guidelines, and merchandise fresh bakery items daily. You will take cake orders, answer questions, and help customers while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires 1+ year of experience, HS Diploma or GED, and strong customer service skills in a fast-paced retail environment. Training on safety, orientation, and eCommerce ordering is provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 18+ required.
• 1+ years of cake decorating or retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Familiarity with basic computer systems and price labeling helpful.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes using standard decorating techniques and VTAs to ensure quality.
• Write on cakes with icing upon request.
• Read and execute daily production lists to guide cake flow.
• Ensure quality control before products reach the sales floor.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily.
• Maintain department sanitation and comply with safety standards.
