Job summary

Homeland is seeking a Cake Decorator to greet customers, record cake orders, and process purchases efficiently through the bakery department. You will ice and decorate cakes and pastries to company specifications and maintain display cases throughout the store. Strong customer service and basic math skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills for transactions.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience with bakery equipment (oven, mixer, scales, etc.) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and ring out customers politely.
• Record customers' cake and bakery item orders accurately.
• Process purchases quickly using cash register, scanner, and scale.
• Review daily department communications and follow Sampling Program guidelines.
• Ice and decorate cakes and pastries per company specifications.
• Record out-of-stock conditions and report to the Bakery Manager.
• Stock donut, cookie, cake cases and display tables.
• Provide courteous answers to customer questions and store policies.
