Job summary

Truno Retail Technology Solutions is seeking a Cake Decorator to provide excellent customer service, greet customers, assist with special orders, and maintain bakery displays in a fast-paced environment. You will ice and decorate cakes, price products, operate ovens and mixers, ensure sanitation, and help with packaging.

Prior bakery experience is preferred, standing for long periods is required. You will help drive sales through friendly service and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
• Bakery Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising cakes, pies, rolls, muffins, breads and other baked goods.
• Informing customers about our bakery products and services products as a way to increase sales.
• Working with equipment like ovens, proofers, mixers and scales.
• Must adhere to strict standards of sanitation, food safety and personal hygiene.
• Responsible for maintaining clean work area.
• Serve customers; set up baked goods; learn to operate mixers, ovens, scales, ice pastries, fryer, slicer and other cutting tools, display products, maintain supplies, clean work area, Ring-Tender accept payment on orders and other duties as assigned.

A Cake Decorator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing excellent customer service, including greeting customers, responding to questions, and taking special orders.

They will also be required to ice, decorate, package, label, and price products for refrigerated cases and bakery display tables as well as other duties as assigned. May be required to operate mixers, ovens, scales, and maintain a clean work area. Prior experience preferred.
