Job summary

Food City in Kentucky is seeking a friendly bakery associate to join our team. You will help customers, decorate cakes and cupcakes, and maintain display cases in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include taking cake orders, keeping the bakery area tidy, and assisting with inventory and rotation of Food Service products. Flexible shifts and weekend availability are a plus, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform routine tasks
• On-site availability to meet scheduling needs

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide courteous, efficient service
• Decorate specialty cakes, cupcakes, and cookies as needed
• Maintain bakery displays and product freshness
• Prepare and assemble baked goods and desserts
• Take telephone orders for cakes and foods
• Manage inventory, dating, and rotation of Food Service items
• Keep workstations clean and organized and ensure timely delivery of special cake orders
