Food City in Louisa, KY seeks a part-time Food Service/Bakery team member to support customer service and bakery operations. You will greet customers, assist with cake decoration, and maintain display cases while ensuring freshness and order accuracy.

Role involves on-site shifts, adherence to safety standards, and potential cross-training in multiple bakery and service areas. Prior food service is a plus but not required, and applicants must be 18 or older.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and interact with various levels of individuals daily.
• On-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, efficient customer service in a fast-paced grocery environment.
• Greet customers and assist with product needs, bakery orders, and phone inquiries.
• Prepare and decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods.
• Maintain bakery and display areas, rotate stock, and ensure freshness.
• Take telephone orders for cakes and special requests.
• Keep workstation clean and organized and adhere to safety standards.
