Job summary

Food City is seeking motivated associates in Crossville, TN to support in-store food service and bakery operations. You will greet customers, assist with pastry and cake decoration, and ensure quality products meet customer expectations.

On-site shifts require attention to rotation, dating, and timely delivery of special cake orders. The role emphasizes friendly, customer-first service and collaboration with team members to maintain a clean, organized display area and efficient service

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food service experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• On-site attendance on scheduled shifts to adhere to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times to support the company mission.”Run the Best Store in Town.”
• Maintain a positive attitude; create a friendly, fun atmosphere through teamwork.
• Greet and speak to customers, provide prompt, courteous service.
• Prepare and produce quality food & products to meet customer expectations.
• Decorate specialty cakes, cupcakes, and cookies; use the photo cake computer.
• Maintain and decorate cake and cookie display cases.
• Take telephone orders for food and specialty cakes; handle cake orders.
• Maintain proper rotation and dating of Food Service products.
• Inventory and order management for products; keep area neat and clean.
• Ensure special cake orders are ready for delivery on time.
• Cross-train across multiple areas with varying responsibilities.
