So Sweet Pastries is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Cake Decorator / Baker to join our team. We are a busy pastry shop specializing in cakes, Middle Eastern sweets, desserts, pastries, and bakery display items. We are looking for someone who works clean, moves with purpose, and takes pride in making products look beautiful and consistent.

Responsibilities include baking and preparing bakery items, assembling and finishing cakes and desserts for the display case, preparing creams, fillings, batters, and dessert components, decorating standard cakes and pastries according to So Sweet standards, keeping production organized, following recipes and portion standards, maintaining a clean and sanitary work area, and helping the team stay ready for daily sales.

The focus is on consistent bakery production, display cakes, standard dessert finishing, and maintaining quality and appearance.

The ideal candidate has bakery, pastry, or cake finishing experience, strong attention to detail, good time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with buttercream, whipped cream, cake filling, leveling, assembling, basic piping, glazing, fruit placement, and dessert finishing is preferred.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, positive, coachable, and proud of their work. This position requires standing for long periods, lifting bakery items and supplies as needed, keeping the work area clean, and being available for weekends and holidays when needed.

Pay: $15–$18 per hour based on experience and skill level. Higher pay may be considered for someone with strong bakery production and cake finishing experience who can work independently.

Schedule: Full-time or part-time available. Weekend availability is preferred.
