Job summary

Stauffers of Kissel Hill in Mount Joy is hiring for a full-time bakery team member. The role requires 7am–4pm scheduling and includes a $2,500 hiring bonus. Wage is $19.50 per hour with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include decorating cakes, producing bakery items, managing inventory, setting displays, and fulfilling customer orders. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work Monday through Sunday, 7am–4pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and implementation of new product ideas.
• Decorate specialty cakes and support seasonal cake events.
• Know current inventories and ordering systems to help with supplies.
• Mix cakes, icing and other items as needed.
• Produce correct quantities of products according to weekly sales projections.
• Record best selling cakes and notify management.
• Ensure proper production of bakery goods in the absence of bakers and supervisors.
• Clean department areas, equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles and display cases.
• Set and sign displays to attract customers and promote sales.
• Take and process customer orders to ensure timely readiness.
• Take inventory regularly to identify items needing replenishment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and displaycases; keeping products and supplies well organized..
• Operates price scale with knowledge of current prices. Prices or changes price tags on merchandise referring to price list and in coordination with scan department.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received. Promptly clears floor of all restocking equipment and debris.
• Sets and signs displays of merchandise to attract customers and promote sales.
• Takes and processes customer orders according to customer request ensuring that product is ready on time.
• Takes inventory or examines merchandise on a regular basis, to identify items needing to be reordered or replenished.

Qualifications

• While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to hot temperatures while working around kitchen equipment.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The employee must be at least 18 years old.
