Big Y Foods, Inc. seeks a Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator to deliver exceptional customer experience by preparing and serving fresh, high quality cakes and baked goods.

The role maintains bakery conditions, oversees ordering and inventory, and upholds food safety standards while sharing product knowledge with customers. Applicants should be 18+ years old, represent Big Y’s caring culture, and be willing to cross-train and learn other bakery areas.

The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by preparing and ensuring the freshest quality product. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator produces high quality cakes and baked goods, maintains department conditions, to include proper ordering, inventory, production, and food safety standards in the Bakery department. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator provides product knowledge and expertise to our customers.

• Must be proficient in cake decorating and ordering (as assigned) for the entire sales areas of the bakery department.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
