Big Y Foods, Inc. Amherst, MA is seeking a Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator to craft high quality cakes and baked goods while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires decorating expertise, proper ordering and inventory management, and adherence to food safety standards. You will maintain the bakery area, support cross-training, and represent Big Y’s caring culture in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cake decorating and cake or pastry production.
• Ability to manage ordering for bakery department, including inventory considerations.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and work within company policies.

Location:AMHERST,MA(175 UNIVERSITY DRIVE)

The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by preparing and ensuring the freshest quality product. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator produces high quality cakes and baked goods, maintains department conditions, to include proper ordering, inventory, production, and food safety standards in the Bakery department. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator provides product knowledge and expertise to our customers.

• Must be proficient in cake decorating and ordering (as assigned) for the entire sales areas of the bakery department.
• Must project a clean and professional appearance.
• Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Willingness to cross train and learn other areas as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
