Job summary

Big Y Foods, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator at our Milford, CT location. You will prepare and decorate cakes, ensure freshness, and support bakery operations with ordering, inventory, and food safety practices.

As the primary associate in the bakery, you will provide product knowledge to customers and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and professionalism. A flexible schedule and 18+ age requirement apply.

The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by preparing and ensuring the freshest quality product. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator produces high quality cakes and baked goods, maintains department conditions, to include proper ordering, inventory, production, and food safety standards in the Bakery department. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator provides product knowledge and expertise to our customers.

• Must be proficient in cake decorating and ordering (as assigned) for the entire sales areas of the bakery department.
• Must project a clean and professional appearance.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
